Maui~Just Another Beach Day!

After the ridiculously long Road to Hana. Wednesday was reserved for the beach. We rented a cabana again and planted ourselves in the shade for the entire day. We had lunch at the Barefoot Bar and thorougly enjoyed our cabana day, complete with fresh ice water & pineapple!

Some flamingos who called the hotel lobby home...

For dinner we had made arrangements to attend Feast at Lele. It's a luau type show, but with individual tables instead of long picnic tables and a 5-course meal served to you individually instead of a buffet. The entertainment was a lot of fun, but Hubby & I are both picky eaters so the food was a little interesting. We definitely didn't overeat for that meal! ha! The waiter even asked us if there was anything he could do, or if the food was alright! I think we passed it off by saying we really just weren't that hungry...couldn't he have just left us picky eaters to waste food in peace!

Welcome to the Feast at Lele!

The setting was gorgeous!

We were each greeted with a traditional lei & either a mai tai or fruit punch....fruit punch for me & the baby thank you!

And it's time for the show to begin...

This is my big fat fail at getting a picture of us from this evening...they had a photographer on site who took some photos and wanted something like $20 for one 5 x 7! Um...no thanks!

The entertainment was definitely a lot of fun...I really wish we had the option to eat dinner first and then enjoy the show...but we didn't! ha! Guess that what we get for being picky eaters!

Thankfully the last couple of courses included a chicken dish & a steak dish that managed to fill us up. We also had some good dessert, with our first of two anniversary plates! A luau is definitely something you should do once when you visit Hawaii, but I don't think we'll be spending the money next time.

This looks heavenly! I hope you had fun! My husband and I just got back from the Caribbean -- Couldn't you just move someplace tropical? I love it!
