Project 365 ~ June

As I uploaded these photos it was a little hard to believe how fun June was!  Lots and lots of activities and family fun and just good times at home.  So here's a peek back...

We spent lots of evenings outside...

we celebrated Gigi's birthday...

at the park...

Nora celebrated her half birthday on the same day as Gigi's birthday...

Elyse took care of my old puppy Jack...

we ate Andy's Frozen Custard as a family...probably too many times...

all the girls had tea with Elsa...
and we finally got in some good quality pool time for Elyse...

and Nora enjoyed her first pool experience as well!

I went back to Zumba.  Like twice.  Summer is a horrible time for me to get in an exercise routine.

But I got to see my bestie which was awesome...

Elyse had many conversations with her coyote friend statues on our nightly walks...

and I felt like super-mom when I successfully took both girls to our city pool!

We had new family photos taken...

And I fell more in love with my precious girls...

This girl celebrated her 1/2 birthday...

and we treated her to more Andy's while the boys were out of town...

I couldn't resist and matchy-matched my girls a few times...

And I was super excited that we finally pulled the trigger and bought a double stroller!

Nora got her first two teeth and I was thankful for some teething necklaces this time around...

We spent even more time outside, running around and this girl seemed to start looking like a teenager...

This girl learned how to jump in her jumparoo...and we jumped.  A lot.

We had dinner with my Grandma & Grandpa Smart...and they got to spend some quality time with the girls...

We had dinner with my bestie & her family...which also means Elyse had dinner with one of her besties...

We celebrated Father's Day one night early with our favorite daddy...

And this girl got her first official taste of Andy's Frozen Custard... (see I told you we went too many times!)

We spent Father's Day with both of our families celebrating the fabulous daddy's in our life...

and I got a picture of what it will look like when these cousin besties are 16...

We unswaddled Nora and we discovered she's totally a belly sleeper...

It started to feel like summer and Bogey get a new pool...

And we spent a day at Silver Dollar City with Hubby's family...

And finished off that day with a date night to Jurassic World 3D...

We rode in the shopping cart for the first time...

And we spent more time with cousins...

and even more time in the swimming pool...

and Nora sucked on her toes...

and she ate everything in sight!

I just love having this monthly project to look over the fun memories we've had!  Can't wait for so many more!

Father's Day 2015

So, I'm behind...like really behind.  So let's just ignore it and move on.

We had a fabulous Father's Day weekend celebrating all the father's in our life.  We started out with dinner on Friday night with my bestie & her family.  Elyse absolutely LOVES their kids, and they are pretty fond of her too.   We went to leave that evening and what started out as a pretty serious hug became a full on wrestling match!

Actual Father's Day was pretty packed, so we celebrated on Saturday night with dinner at Hubby's favorite Mexican restaurant and Andy's frozen custard.  We had an ice cream picnic in the back of our car which gave Nora the perfect opportunity to have her first taste of Andy's.  (And to be completely honest, this wasn't her first taste of ice cream...my bestie ruined that the night before...lol!)  Nora is the typical second kid, so ice cream isn't off limits for so long this time!

I just love this sequence of photos...

#1.  Mmm....that looks delicious...

#2.  Big sister Elyse, aren't you going to share?!?

#3.  Momma, she's not sharing...

#4.  Oh, she's distracted...now's my chance...

#5.  Daddy, you're the best!  Give me that spoon, and don't even think about moving your hand away!  (notice her little hand holding on to his finger!)

#6.  Momma, have you had this stuff?!?  it's amazing!

#7.  Daddy, oh daddy?!?  You're the best, and I think I need some more! And please be warned, this is the same look I'll give you in 15 years when I want a car!

#8.  But daddy, you seriously are the best.  I love you bunches!

On Sunday we gave Daddy his presents, a blue running shirt, a pair of blue running shoes, and a pink/purple soccer ball.  All Elyse's choices...although I may have pushed her in the right direction a couple of times.  We spent the afternoon at Hubby's parents' house and Elyse got to spend some quality time with her cousins.

We spent Father's Day evening at my brother's house, where we opted for a simple meal of Italian carryout.  We tried to get a good picture of Papa and his girls, but they were all a little more interested in playing than picture posing.

And then we had a glimpse of what it's going to be in a few years...oh these two girls, they love each other for sure! I can't even imagine what it will be like when Nora is right in the middle of them!
