Elyse Love ~ 33 Weeks

33w4d

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I guess we'll find out the actual number a week from now at my next dr's appointment. While I'm still trying to eat healthy & snack healthy as well...this is a REALLY HARD time of year to resist temptation. So, I've decided to make good overall choices, but I'm certainly not going to beat myself up over enjoying some fabulous food or yummy treats! Heck, I've made it to 33 weeks...I figure I deserve it!

Gender: Our precious baby girl...Elyse Ann! All I can say is that I really, really hope she's truly a girl...otherwise this boy is going to be wearing lots of ruffles & lots of pink! ha!

Movement: All I can say is that she seriously has to be getting cramped in there! The movements have transitioned from kicks and elbows to more of a rolling motion as it feels like she's trying to turn over. I can definitely pick out those things that make her move the most...even a little bit of caffeine really gets her going!

Sleep: I'm still sleeping really well for the first 6ish hours of the night, but after I get up for my bathroom break I seem to toss and turn until my alarm goes off. I guess at least I'm getting some good, sound sleep for most of the night...but it's frustrating to not be able to go back sound asleeep for the last couple of hours. Is this God preparing me for baby girl's arrival!?!?

What I miss: My normal energy level for sure. I've been trying to rest more and even eat a quick snack while I'm getting ready for work in the morning. I normally eat breakfast right before I walk out the door and for a few days I wasn't even able to get through my normal morning routine without sitting down for a pretty substantial rest. Thankfully a quick glass of milk or a few almonds or a granola bar seem to give me that little boost I need.

Cravings: still no cravings for this girl...momma or baby! I'm so thankful that I haven't had any super crazy cravings!

Symptoms: I'm normally a go-go-go kind of girl, and that just isn't possible right now. I'm definitely feeling 8 months pregnant, so the countdown is definitely on! I'm still carrying Elyse all out in front which definitely makes my back tired & sore after a full day at work. And apparently my mom thinks that she's higher now...I certainly hope she's not moving up instead of down! ha!

Maternity Clothes: All I can say is that my wardrobe choices become fewer and fewer each week! I've still got plenty of options, but my non-maternity options are quickly going bye bye! I've pretty much given up on even trying to use my Bella Bands...maternity pants & leggings (both maternity & non-maternity) are the only option for me!

Best Moment this week: Definitely my shower thrown by all my besties last night! It was a fabulous evening & I can't wait to share all the photos and details! They did some incredibly sweet things and I am so blessed to have such incredible friends & momma role models surrounding me!

Baby To-Do List: I've been working on a wall project for above the crib, hopefully it will be finished in a few days...if it comes out half as neat as I'm hoping it will look fabulous! It's also a new month which means that my cash envelope for Elyse has been replinished, you can bet I'm gonna be buying some of the other decor items very soon! Now that we've had our last shower, there are still LOTS of things to buy. Some of it can wait, but we need to make a pretty substantial trip to Babies R Us in the next few weeks.

And of course...the belly pic...

So fun to hear all that you're feeling. I remember feeling that rolling feeling as opposed to just kicks and little movements. That's good - it means she's growing just like she ought to be. (o: Feels so WEIRD though I thought.

Enjoy your last few weeks as you prepare for her arrival.

And PS - WHERE did you get that necklace you're wearing? It's fabulous!
