It was another abnormally warm March weekend and we definitely took advantage of the beautiful weather. We spent Friday evening at my parents' house for an impromptu pizza night! We hung out and took Elyse on a walk around my grandparents' wooded path. I walked thousands of miles around that path with my parents & grandparents & I know that Elyse will have the same experience!
We called it a night fairly early & I enjoyed the rest of the evening just lounging around with Elyse. Seriously, how could it get any better than holding this precious bundle in my arms?!?
Saturday morning Hubby & I both headed to work for a bit and then spent the rest of the afternoon at home. I spent the afternoon playing with Elyse and enjoying her company while Nick tried to tame the crazy jungle aka our yard! These warm temps have caused the mowing/landscaping season to start a bit early this year & the grass is growing like crazy! We headed out on Saturday evening for dinner at Applebee's and a quick stop at Target to get baby girl some new clothes! I have lots of hand-me-downs, but with the crazy warm temps I was seriously lacking in the warm weather play clothes department! We got some adorable things!
Look at me in my first pair of jean shorts!
Momma & Elyse (always so serious when the camera is on me!)
Sunday was just a typical Sunday with church service (which was awesome!!), lunch and then spending time around the house before small group.
It was a fairly laidback weekend which I'm certainly beginning to enjoy & appreciate, as running around like crazy is just a little bit more work with a 3 1/2 month old! We were able to relax...even if we weren't able to crash like baby girl!
It's a big week around the Layman household! Elyse's first STL Cardinals baseball game tonight with the Springfield Cardinals taking on the World Series Champions here in good ole Springfield, MO!
And of course Elyse's 1st Easter! I can't believe that it was a year ago that we spilled the beans to our family that Baby Layman was on her way!
