Thrifty Tuesday...on a Thursday

I definitely haven't been avoiding my couponing ways, but I've been really trying to watch my spending...especially trying to avoid justified coupon purchases. You know, those purchases when you say...."But I had a coupon so it was such a good deal!" Yeah, those purchases can still add up and when you already have 10 tubes of toothpaste & 5 sticks of deodorant in reserve it's a guarantee that another GREAT sale will come along before you actually run out!

However, this week at Walgreens there were so great deals I just couldn't pass up!

1 bag Tostitos chips, 1 Gillette ProGlide Razor, 2 Schick Hydro 5 Razors, 2 sticks Right Guard Deodorant, 1 bottle Dawn dish soap, and 2 rolls Scotch tape....all for less than $8.54ish! (I can't remember my exact amount)

As a comparison, the Gillette Razor on it's own was on sale for $9.89. So...between Register Rewards & coupons I was basically able to make money by purchasing everything else shown! Also, Walmart shows the Gillette razors being sold for $9.74 so Walgreens wasn't that far off with their sales prices! I don't hardly ever pass up deals on men's razors. They are so expensive and if anything they can always be donated to our local charity. Good quality razors are ridiculous in price.

I ended up with 2 sticks of Right Guard deodorant instead of the 3 bottles of Right Guard bodywash because they were out of the bodywash and I still wanted my transactions to come out right.

Overall I was pretty pleased with myself since I saved almost $39 and only spent a little over $8! How are your couponing adventures coming along?

WOW! You are so good at couponing! The toughest part for me is finding the actual coupons! Any suggestions?!
