Another week, another belly shot...loving these drawstring-waisted, non-maternity maxi dresses! Comfy & cool & forgiving to a growing little pooch!
How big is baby: An Onion, 5.9 oz
Weight gain/loss: According to a scale at home I'm still holding steady at the 4-5 lb mark...I'd like to keep it there until at least my next appointment. That would be put me at almost half of my weight gain for the same period with Elyse.
Sleep: My sleep has been great, at least until I wake up. Elyse has been on this early-rising kick since we've been potty training and it's about to wear me out. I've been waking anywhere between 5:30-6:00, which is about 30-45 minutes before my alarm goes off and I CANNOT go back to sleep. So annoying.
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Nothing really. I've almost completely cut out caffiene/pop unless I just have a headache that won't go away. I wasn't drinking all that much anyway, but I normally had some sort of tea/pop each day. I haven't really noticed it, and I'm trying to replace it with strictly water. I'm not a huge water drinker, but it's going ok so far! I'm also still trying to keep my sodium intake low so I can avoid that ankle swelling that seems to come on quickly these days.
Movement: I honestly think I've started to feel those little movements that feel more like a bubble popping in my belly...they are starting to come more frequently. On the rare occasion I do have pop, or anything really sugary to drink they are much more obvious.
What I'm loving: Just being a mom. Elyse and I had some amazing quality time this past week/weekend while Hubby was out of town and we were potty training. It was so wonderful to just spend time with her with no other plans besides making it to the potty on time!
Symptoms: Just my expanding waist line. I've decided to stock up on cotton/jersey skirts and maxi dresses for the rest of summer...the perfect wardrobe pieces to accomodate before/after baby! I've also been getting obnoxious leg/foot/toe cramps in the evenings...Hubby is convinced it's a ploy to get a foot rub, but I can't help it if my toes are bending on their own!
What I'm looking forward to: Our gender reveal party that's only about a week away...our ultrasound tech was certainly able to tell what we're having and I can't wait to give this baby a gender & a name. We have a girl name picked out 100%, so it'll probably be a boy...since that's exactly what happened with Elyse!
Best moment of the week: Declaring a pretty strong victory over potty training. I was seriously so nervous about how this would go, but she has done amazing!
