A Pretty Great Birthday

We had a fabulous day celebrating Daddy's birthday.  We started out with opening a nice stack of presents & cinnamon rolls for breakfast. 

Daddy headed off to work and Elyse & I stayed at home to finish up the birthday cake.

After Elyse's morning nap & feeding, we headed down to see Daddy for lunch.  We ate at our local BBQ joint & it was delicious!  Elyse was a big hit at lunch as usual...I mean who wouldn't be absolutely in love with this little sweetheart!

 After a nice lunch, Elyse & I came home and both took a nice little afternoon nap.  Then it was time to party!  Papa & Gigi came by and picked us up for a nice dinner at Doe's.  Elyse was perfectly content & enjoyed her dinner right before our food came.  She also had her first experience with ice water...I'm just glad that Papa didn't end up with this entire glass of water all over him!

After dinner it was time for cake & presents back at home. Ok, yeah the cake was a little bit too much for just 4 of us, but we couldn't have Hubby's birthday without a full-size cake.  We definitely brought the cake to work today to share with everyone!

Elyse ended up the evening being just a tad bit fussy from hunger & missing her early evening nap...but that didn't keep her from attacking Sophie!  I just keep thinking that teeth are coming at any point, but no swelling or little tooths quite yet!

 I thought it was a pretty perfect birthday celebration & Hubby agreed.  Next year is the big 30 for both of us...so big bashes will definitely be happening a year from now!
