Thankful Thursday

So if I'm being honest, I had started another post this afternoon which was a little whiny...but then my perspective changed a bit and I remembered that I really have so much to be thankful for!

~I'm thankful for my sleeping baby; who on this afternoon decided she wasn't going to take an afternoon nap unless I rocked her a bit longer.  Thank you Elyse for bringing my perspective back and helping me remember how blessed I truly am! You have changed this selfish woman's life in so many ways that you will never ever fully comprehend until you become a momma yourself...thank you for bringing such inexplicable joy to my life!

~I'm thankful for our home.  While I may long for bigger & better things, I'm grateful for this structure that we have made more than just a house.  This place where we have learned to love each other more deeply and made some incredibly memories.  And although I'd love more space, if we end up being here longer than our original plans...I'm going to try really hard to be OK with that.

~I'm thankful for my husband, who so graciously leads our family to love Jesus and loves Elyse & I in such powerful ways.  I'm also so thankful that sometimes he just stops and listens, even when he really knows what I need to do to "fix" a situation! (seriously, watch this video...it couldn't be more perfect!)

~I'm thankful for my health & Zumba.  Zumba is honestly one of the first workouts that I actually truly enjoy, and I honestly miss it when I can't make it to class.  I feel so much better on the days that I workout...and I also don't feel bad when I have a Dairy Queen blizzard or eat a few cookies when I'm working out a few times a week. Bring on the Zumba tonight...and the cookies afterwards!

~I'm thankful for my church family & small group.  This group of people is such a blessing to our family each & every week and while our small group is taking a break for the summer...I know that I can count of them for absolutely anything!

~I'm thankful for an absolutely incredible family.  For both of us, Hubby & I are so  blessed to have some amazing people who surround us and care for us...not to mention the free babysitting that comes along with family living nearby!

Happy Almost-Friday everyone...I'm ready for some sunshine & warm weather!

I love Zumba. It really is the best work out ever because it doesn't even feel like you are working out! You have given me some motivation to start going again :)
